Linear Axis

Star by double-clicking on the ‘Machine Description’ node from the tree view.

Next, double-click on the ‘Linear Axis’ node under the ‘Machine Description’ node and select the ‘X-Axis’ tab. These settings contain all the information related to the X-axis Copy all the settings shown in the graphic below. Make sure to review what is displayed when you allow the cursor to hover over a specific input field or control as well as what is in the information area at the bottom of the interface as you move through the various input fields and controls.

Next, select the ‘Y-Axis’ tab. These settings contain all the information related to the Y-axis. Copy all the settings shown in the graphic below. Make sure to review what is displayed when you allow the cursor to hover over a specific input field or control as well as what is in the information area at the bottom of the interface as you move through the various input fields and controls.

Next, select the ‘Z-Axis’ tab. These settings contain all the information related to the Z-axis. Copy all the settings shown in the graphic below.

Make sure to review what is displayed when you allow the cursor to hover over a specific input field or control as well as what is in the information area at the bottom of the interface as you move through the various input fields and controls.

Next, select the ‘Other’ tab. Set the Minimum linear output move to match the resolution of the X,Y and Z axis. Check the Linear axis modal checkbox. This will insure that the smallest linear movement in the NC Code will not be less than this setting. It also insires that each linear axis address will only be output if the value has changed.
